As perfume is categorised into the cosmetics products category, often consumers can be confused on how to dispose of their glass bottles correctly. The Perfume Shop has taken away this confusion of how to recycle your perfume bottle safely.
For every bottle recycled, The Perfume Shop will make a donation to the Eden Reforestation Projects to plant a tree and support their ongoing mission to make the planet more environmentally friendly.
Customers can simply drop into any of The Perfume Shop stores to recycle their empty fragrance bottles in the newly installed recycling units and receive the discount to purchase any fragrance of their choice.
The Perfume Shop’s scheme entitles customers to an even greater discount than previously offered at 10% with a new 15% discount off same-day purchases.
The Perfume Shop managing director, Gill Smith said ‘When we launched the bottle recycling initiative it was the first of its kind for perfume bottles which we hadn’t seen before.
“We knew we wanted our loyal customers to both smell good but also feel good when they were aware what they could do with their empty fragrance bottles. At The Perfume Shop, we’re proud of the excellent work we’ve already achieved as a business with our partnerships and how we can look to combat wastage as much as we can and that’s why we’re continuing to build upon this year on year to make our cause even greater than before.”
